Formed in August 2001 from the ashes of several local bands, The Donner Surprise Party is straight forward rock 'n' roll crafted with no apologies. Drawing on influences such as The Replacements, AC/DC, Social Distortion, The Foo Fighters, and other bands that the current crop of alternatype bands seem to disregard, The Donner Surprise Party mines these resources to forge their uncompromising sound. The four members - Dan (vocals, Fender bass) Ray (vocals, Gibson SG guitar) Kevin (Gibson Les Paul guitar), and Tom (assault with drumsticks) are not only passionate about the music they play, they bring to the stage an energy not yet matched by other local bands. Though young in existence the band has already made great gains in it's mission to leave you winded, exhilarated, and frankly, a bit shocked at what you've just seen.  Second to none, it's The Donner Surprise Party.
